I’m currently a 4th-year medical student at USC performing clinical research in trauma surgery at LA General Medical Center and the Navy Trauma Training Center.

During my time at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, I have gained broad clinical exposure across multiple disciplines, with particular emphasis on trauma and transplant surgery. These experiences have included participation in high-acuity trauma resuscitations, including cardiac massage, and serving as first assist on a liver recovery during my third year of medical school.

My research portfolio spans translational trauma surgery immunology, outcomes-based investigations after surgical repair for peripheral vascular injury, and clinical trial enrollment focused on optimizing massive transfusion protocols. I have also conducted outcomes and simulation-based research with the Navy Trauma Training Center examining surgical team readiness and performance in high-acuity trauma scenarios. Additional research during medical school has included assessing the utility of pre-exposure prophylaxis for herpes simplex virus, optimizing training of surgical resident education in the care of transgender and gender-diverse patients, anatomical variants impacting operative decision-making, and investigations into the health effects of Martian dust exposure, the latter of which has been featured in national media outlets including Discover Magazine.
